On October 30, 2019, the South American Gelatin Manufacturers Association – SAGMA held the 1st technical seminar on the gelatin and hydrolyzed collagen chain. The seminar was organized by SAGMA and supported by the ministry of agriculture, livestock and supply - map.
On the occasion, there was a debate on sustainable knowledge in the gelatin and hydrolyzed collagen chain, for greater interaction between the government and industry.
With lectures given by members of SAGMA and MAPA, the seminar covered history, new guidelines, market, sustainability, legislation, perspectives and traceability. In addition, there was space for debate and exchange of knowledge. After all, knowledge and gelatin have spanned millennia and continue to evolve.
The event began with a speech by the president of SAGMA, Claudia Yamana, who officially opened the seminar. Soon after, seminar participants heard several lectures on various topics already mentioned here. The program lasted throughout the day, with breaks for exchanging ideas and experiences.
